Goodie Bag Stuffing Social

Our annual fund raiser is our Nostalgia Day Car Show (NDCS) and one of the things that participants receive is a bag full of goodies. We never quite know what will be in these bags because it is all provided by our sponsors and other donors. Typical items are catalogs, calendars, letter openers, mouse pads and ???. 

New members probably do not know how all of the things end up in the “Goodie Bags.” Members who have been around for a few years know about our annual Goody Bag Stuffing Social. Club members get together and grab an empty bag, and walk it down a row of tables that are loaded with the “goodies.” Once the bags are all stuffed, we start the “social” part of the afternoon. The club provides the hamburgers and/or hot dogs and the members bring other dishes or snacks to share. 

The NDCS Goody Bag Stuffing Social is a great way to help the club get ready for Nostalgia Day and to meet other club members. Stuffing 500-600 bags with forty or so items each can be quite a task for a small group, but when we get 35-40 people organized, we can make short work of the job and have fun while doing it.
